Mary “Betty” Close, 90, of Winchester, wife for 67 years to Raymond R. Close, passed away Friday at their home.

She was born in Detroit, MI, on July 21, 1926, to the late Ivion and Lu’Berth Morgan Hina. She was a devout member of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sister, Judith Bausch of California, son and daughter-in-law, Jim (Suzanne) Close of Georgia, daughter, Karyn Keely of Winchester, 5 grandchildren and their spouses and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1pm at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., with Rev. Jonathan Taylor presiding. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11am until the hour of service. Burial will be in the Fort Knox Cemetery.
