—The Sun congratulates Frank and Lisa Bryant, Winchester, on the birth of a daughter on March 13 at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington. She has been named Elizabeth Ann.

—Jennifer L. Swain, a student at George Rogers Clark High School, has been named a United States National Award winner in science. Nominated by David Christenson, GRCHS science teacher, Miss Swain’s name will appear in the United States Achievement Academy Official Yearbook, published nationally. She is the daughter of Diana Lineberry and E.D. Swain.

—Several Winchester and Clark County youths will be participating this weekend in a basketball tournament in Paris sponsored by the Paris YMCA.
