Baker staff compete in bake off

The rainbow cloud cake, baked by Terri Puckett, took first prize Friday morning at Baker Intermediate’s annual bake off.
Baker Intermediate School staff took part in a confectionary competition Friday morning at the school’s Luck of the Irish staff bakeoff.
Contestants made dishes to fit a St. Patrick’s Day theme, from shamrock cupcakes to mint green brownies. The entries were scored by several guest judges, looking at appearance, how the entry fit the theme and, of course, taste.
The winner of the 2017 bakeoff was Terri Puckett, who created an angel food cloud cake with a rainbow leading to a pot of gold.
Sharida Jacobs won second place, and Rachel music took third.
