Douglas G. Miller, 64, passed away peacefully March 18, 2017, surrounded by his family.

Doug was born on October 14,1952, in Nashville, Tennessee to Roy Scott and Mary (Kelley) Miller. He and his wife, Eleanor (Ellie) Desaulniers were married October 2, 1992, and celebrated 24 years together.

Doug attended Western Kentucky University and graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History/Government. In 1995 he graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in paralegal science. Doug worked most of his career in highway construction and later in the paralegal field. He was an avid reader, had an eclectic taste in music, and his humor and witticism was second to none.

He is survived by his wife Ellie, his sons Elliot T. Miller (Winchester, Ky.), Franklin S. Miller (Lori) (Indianapolis, In), Barrett T. Anderson (Denise) (Winchester, Ky.), Hillary T. Anderson (S.W.) (Winchester, Ky.), his grandchildren Ethan, Amelia Rose, Jackson, Jaden, Hagan, and Mia, his sister Mary Scott (L.C.) Mastin (Winchester, Ky.), his mother-in-law, 10 brother and sister-in-laws, 15 nieces and nephews, and many life-long friends.

A private (family only) graveside service will be held at Clarmont Memorial Gardens in Winchester, Ky.
