WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Jeffery Lee Barnett, 46, was charged Monday with possession of drug paraphernalia, third-degree possession of a controlled substance and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

— Nancy Lorina Chandler, 39, was charged Monday with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication.

— Esther Ann Johnson, 31, was charged Monday with fourth-degree assault (two counts) and endangering the welfare of a minor (five counts).

Reports

— At 12:04 a.m. Monday, officers were called to 27 Oliver St. concerning a woman possibly trying to hurt five children in the home. Esther Ann Johnson was arrested on multiple charges.

— At 12:07 p.m. Monday, officers were called to 40B N. Main St. after someone broke into a residence and took a vase, an urn, clothes and a cell phone.

— At 2:18 p.m. Monday, officers took a report concerning a possible theft.

— At 8:12 p.m. Monday, officers were called to 233 Edgemont Ave. concerning an assault.

— At 8:33 p.m. Monday, officers were called to 116 E. Broadway St. concerning suspected drug activity. Jeffery Lee Barnett was arrested on multiple charged.

— At 8:42 p.m. Monday, officers were called to Green Alley and North Main Street concerning suspected drug activity. Nancy Lorina Chandler was arrested on multiple offenses.

Accidents

— At 6:19 p.m. Monday, officers responded to an injury accident on South Main Street in which a vehicle driven by Robert E. Atwell of Lexington struck a stopped vehicle, driven by Keith D. Olinger of 523 Kiwi Drive, at the intersection with Lexington Avenue. Emergency personnel said Atwell had a diabetic emergency and was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center. Olinger was also taken to the hospital after complaining of back pain.

— At  7:02 a.m. Monday, officers responded to an injury accident on North Maple Street in which Jessica Jude of 504 Barlow Drive said she lost control of her vehicle while trying to avoid another vehicle. Jude’s car struck a curb and overturned several times. She was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center after complaining of back and neck pain.

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Reports

— At 3:22 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to 3502 Pine Ridge Road concerning a person causing problems. It was a vehicle repossession.

— At 2:49 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to 2858 Ford Hampton Road concerning an assault.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 8:27 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to an injury accident on Interstate 64 near the 103 mile marker.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Monday, emergency personnel responded to nine general medical calls, two cardiac cases, one respiratory case, one obstetric case and three motor vehicle accidents.

— At 1:50 p.m. monday, firefighters were called to 406 Tremont Lane for a fire alarm sounding. It was a false alarm.

— At 2:54 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 245 N. Main St. It was a false alarm.
