Gospel extravaganza Sunday

The Winchester Black History and Heritage Committee will have a gospel music extravaganza at 4 p.m. Sunday at Broadway Baptist Church, 121 W. Broadway St. Directors and musicians will include Teresa Action, William Fitzgerald, Pearl Gordon and Lorenzo Taylor. Workshop practices will be at 6 p.m. today and 7 p.m. Saturday at the church. Easter egg hunt at Journey Church

Journey Church, 108 Hemlock Road, will have an Easter egg hunt following the 11 a.m. service Sunday, April 16. The public is welcome.

Liberty Bible Church of God in new location 

The Liberty Bible Church of God invites the community to celebrate services being held in the new location at 6615 Veterans Memorial Parkway. Service is at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Services at First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian Church offers traditional and lively worship services at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday, sharing God’s word through song, prayer, preaching and story. Adult Bible study and pastors study are at 9:30 a.m. Children and youth Sunday school classes begin at 9:40 a.m. Mustard Seeds with Mizz JJ, fellowship and study for children and youth, following time with children during worship. Come dressed a casually or formal, but more improtant, come expecting to moved by the spirit. Pastor is the Rev. Ryan Bradney. Conversation and Communion

Conversation and Communion takes place each week at Gaunce’s Deli. Participants will share a light meal or snack on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. and begin Bible study at 6 p.m. The study, which is led by the Rev. Chana Tetzlaff of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, will be followed by holy communion.
