An article about George Rogers Clark High School and Robert D. Campbell Junior High School’s “The Music Man” should have stated a student from Shearer Elementary was involved in the production as well.

The Shearer Elementary Family Resource Center will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the school.
Liberty Bible Church new location
Liberty Bible Church of God will have the first service in its new facility at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The church is at 6615 Veterans Memorial Parkway.
School board work session
The Clark County Board of Education will meet for a work session at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the board room at Central Office, 1600 W. Lexington Ave. The meeting is open to the public. Agenda items include discussion of demographic and enrollment projections and updated salary schedules.
Fiscal Court budget workshop
The Clark County Fiscal Court will have its first budget workshop meeting at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Clark County Courthouse. Scheduled presentations include parks and recreation, the Generations Center, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the industrial authority.
Stool weaving workshop
The Clark County Sassie Craft Homemakers Club is sponsoring a stool weaving workshop at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Clark County Extension Office. The class costs $35, which included all supplies. For more information or to register, call the extension office at 744-4682.
The Winchester Kiwanis Club will meet at noon Wednesday at Taste of China. Guest speaker will be Winn Stephens of the Children’s Advocacy of the Bluegrass.
Republican Party meeting
The Clark County Republican Party meets at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 1, at Golden Corral. Guest speaker is Mike Duncan, former chairman of the National Republican Party and current member of the Republican National Committee. All registered Republicans are welcome to attend.
Hydrant flushings Monday
Winchester Municipal Utilities will be flushing hydrants in the following areas Monday: Al-Fant Court, April Way, Ashford Drive, Bonnie Brook Lane, Boone Avenue, Boonesboro Road, Bypass Road, Camelot Drive, Codella Drive, Colby Road, Colby Ridge Boulevard, Country Club Court, Country Club Drive, Cricket Lane, Dubuy Drive, Earlymeade Drive, Edgewood Drive, English Miss Court, Hawthorne Drive, Heritage Place, Hubbard Road, Lisle Lane, Lucy Court, Manor Drive, Mockingbird Valley Road, Old Garden Court, Pedro Way, Rose Drive, Rose Mary Drive, Runnymeade Drive, Simba Court, Sir Edward Court, Snowfall Drive, Vaught Road, Willowbrook Road, Windridge Drive and Woodbine Court.
AARP offers tax preparation help
The AARP Tax-Aide Foundation program will offer free tax preparation, counseling and electronic filing Mondays and Tuesdays until April 18 at the Central Baptist Church annex, 101 W. Lexington Ave. Taxpayers should bring their 2015 tax return and all documents showing 2016 income. Those itemizing should also bring proof of taxes paid and contributions.
