Donald S. Barnett, 69 of Ashland went to be with his Lord on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Kings Daughters Medical Center with his family at his side.

Mr. Barnett was born March 29, 1948, in Winchester, KY to the late Helen Reffitt Barnett and James Barnett of Winchester. Donald was a graduate of Clark County High School and retired as a Senior Pastor with UMC KY Conference. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Winchester and enjoyed watching UK basketball.

Left to cherish memories are his father James Barnett, his loving wife of 25 years Cynthia Blair Barnett, children Cindy “Punkin” Barnett of Lexington and Christopher Barnett of Florence, KY, sister Pam Brinson of Hattiesburg, MS, and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service to honor Mr. Barnett will be at 1:00pm Monday April 3, 2017, at the Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home, 2702 Panola Street, Catlettsburg. Dr. Ike Nicholson and Rev Deb Massengale will officiate. Final resting place in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.

Visiting hours will be 11:00am until service time Monday at the Funeral Home.
