Teresa Elizabeth Jones, a resident of Winchester passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

She was born May 18, 1935 in Winchester, KY. to the late Walter Jerome Newell, Sr. and Mary Frances Williams Newell. Teresa accepted Christ as her savior at an early age under the Ministry of Rev. Givens at First Baptist Church. She graduated from Oliver High School and later received her Associate Degree from Nashville School of Business in TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, William. 

Teresa, resided in Dayton, OH where she married the late Henderson Jones, Sr. They were blessed with a son, Henderson Jr. Teresa retired from NCR as a Data Processor. She was a devoted member at Trinity Presbyterian Church of Dayton, OH. Teresa served as a Director of Youth, Mission Ministry programs and a member of the Presbyterian Women Circle #3.

Teresa leaves to mourn her death a son, Henderson (Shameeka), granddaughter, Taylor of Marlyand. Two brothers, Walter Newell, Jr. of Wincehster, KY, Robert (Mary) Newell of Dayton, OH. Six sisters, Dr. Cora Fletcher of Berea, KY, Martha Hickman of Bardstown, KY, Anna (Norman) Willis of Chicago Ill, Dorothy (Carl) Bankston of Hendersonville, TN, Dr. Alvinia Newell of Dayton, OH and Dr. Beatrice Newell of Winchester, KY. She has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Funeral Services celebrating her life starts at 11:00 a.m. for visitation followed by the services at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Broadway Christian Church located at 130 West Broadway Street, Winchester, KY. Interment following services at Winchester Cemetery.
