LLL Club has March meeting

The LLL Club met March 21 at Central Baptist Church for the regular monthly meeting and potluck luncheon.

David Hoffman, president, opened the meeting with a welcome and prayer.

Bob Quick led the group in singing “Nothing Bit The Blood” and “At Calvary,” accompanied by Peggy Snowden on the piano.

Ken Durkin gave a devotional on Ephesians 2:4-9.

Glenda Hoffman, program director, introduced the guest speaker Tim Smith, who spoke to the group about the purchase of a new radio station for Winchester. The call letters will be WWKY and frequency 990 AM.

The minutes were read by Gayle Crowe and the treasurer’s report by Phyllis Henderson were approved as read.

“Out to Lunch” will be April 4 at Smokehouse Grill in Berea. The next monthly meeting will be April 18.

January, February and March birthdays were recognized and “Happy Birthday” was sung.

Mr. Hoffman read the prayer list and Dr. Snowden gave the closing prayer and table blessing.

A potluck lunch was served to members Irene Anderson, Juanita Burkhart, Gayle Crowe, Ken and Barbara Durkin, Jo Gravett, Peggy Hall, Phyllis Henderson, David and Glenda Hoffman, Dorothy Moberly, Joanna Pelfrey, Joe Pitts, Bob and Marie Quick, Dr. Bill and Peggy Snowden, Janice Taulbee, Margie Sidwell, Sammy Thomas, Mary Watts, Zane and Carol Williams, Donnie and Julie Woosley, Irene Woosley and Conrad Young.

Guests were Ester Alvarado, Betsy Brian, Judy Crowe, Betty Curtis, Ed Dearing, Jay Galloway, Tim Smith and Donna Wainwright.
