GRC students fare well at World Language competition

Several students from George Roger Clark High School’s French and Spanish programs competed and were evaluated Saturday, March 25, on University of Kentucky’s campus for their ability level in their language of study.
Four students received overall, statewide awards:
— Mackenzie Tallent: First place overall French
— Sarah Kennedy: Third place overall French
— Shayla McClain: First place intermediate low
— Kendall Harrison, a Campbell Jr. High student: Third place novice high
All competing students, who represented GRC well, were:
— Abbagail Baber: Novice high rating, Spanish
— Karlee Grissam: Intermediate low, Spanish
— Kaitlyn Horn: Novice high, Spanish
— Mackenzie Crowl: Intermediate low, Spanish
— Maekayla Gibson: Novice high, Spanish
— Lauren Brinegar: novice high, French
— Diana Hernandez: Intermediate low, French
