The end of the Clark County Activity Coalition’s Wellness Challenge is less than a month away, with the final weigh-in day May 10.

Deborah Jackson, director of programming and marketing at Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation, said that nearly 1,000 Clark Countians are participating in this year’s challenge.

“There are 926 people participating in the Wellness Challenge this year, which is up from 574 last year,” Jackson said.

Those participants have collectively taken part in 35 educational sessions and programs involving 21 sponsors and participating facilities, organizations and businesses.

The Wellness Challenge Celebration will take place May 13, coinciding with the Clark Regional Medical Center’s 100th anniversary celebration. Winners will be announced at the celebration and participants who are present will also be entered for prize drawings.
