Gale H. Brown, 71, of Winchester, wife of Joe Norris Brown, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Clark Regional Medical Center.

Gale was born on December 29, 1945, in Gary, Indiana to the late Fred and Elizabeth Hrapchak Harvey. She was retired from Rayethon, where she was a project manager for the Special Ops Community. She also worked 22 years as a telephone operator for South Central Bell. Gale was a devoted member of Heritage Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband Joe, Gale leaves behind a grandson, Iann Montgomery Brown; a daughter-in-law, Shannon Congleton; four brothers, Kenny Harvey, Billy Harvey, Bruce Harvey and Jay Harvey; four sisters, Judith Sanders, Diane Freson, Debbie Maloney and Betsy Garrett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Zane G. Brown.

Funeral services honoring Gale’s life will be conducted at 11:00AM Monday, April 24, 2017, at Heritage Baptist Church, 4369 Lexington Road, Winchester, KY. 40391 with Rev. Timothy Christopher officiating. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Frank Johnson, George Patrick, Luke Rogers, George Johnson, Lloyd Fantz and Larry Coleman.

Visitation will be held from 6:00PM-8:00PM Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Scobee Funeral Home, 219 West Lexington Ave., Winchester, KY 40391. Memorial contributions are suggested to Heritage Baptist Church and Hospice East, 407 Shoppers Drive, Winchester, KY. 40391
