“The King and I” opens at Leeds Theatre Friday. The play will be presented at 8 p.m. next Friday and Saturday, May 8, 9 and at 2 p.m. May 10. Those interested in attending the musical, co-produced by People’s Commercial Bank, may call the Leeds Theatre and Performing Arts Center.

The Kay and Kay construction company is building a new $5,832,000 bridge over the Kentucky River to replace the structure now connecting Clark and Madison counties.

Ron Toler, a volunteer instructor for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, will be conducting a hunter safety education course April 29-May 2 at the Central Kentucky Coonhunters Club on the Pine Ridge Road.
