April 29, 1967

—New officers of the Pilot View School PTA were elected recently. They are Mrs. Arthur Shelton, president; Mrs. Leon Jones, vice president; Mrs. Lindsay Pasley, secretary, and Mrs. J.C. Pasley, treasurer.

—Mrs. Everett Lusk, president of the Guerrant Clinic Auxiliary, announced that $1,400 was realized from the annual style show benefit at the Winchester Country Club.

—The third floor of the Richard F. McCready and Co. Building, 57 S. Main St., has been donated rent-free as a site for a public museum in Clark County for the next two years.

April 29, 1992

—Billy Cleghorn, 30, wanted for an alleged federal parole violation, led federal, state and local officers on a six-hour chase before being apprehended here at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

—Bambi Belmont, daughter of Brenda Belmont, 1122 Dale Drive, was recognized recently at Berea College’s annual Scholarship Day program. She received a Frances Finnell Vandivier Scholarship.
