CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Debra Miller, 55, of 16 Sylvania Ave., was charged Thursday with first- and third-degree possession of a controlled substance.

— Phillip E. Rogers, 41, of Irvine, was charged Sunday with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and was served a warrant.

Reports

— At 11:06 a.m. Saturday, deputies were called to 1831 Kiddville Road concerning a theft of tools.

— At 12:58 p.m. Saturday, deputies were called to 2290 Becknerville Road concerning a stolen trailer.

— At 5:21 a.m. Sunday, deputies were called to Pilot View Market, 7695 Iron Works Road, after someone broke into the store and took 10 cartons of cigarettes and loose change.

— At 3:51 p.m. Friday, deputies were called to 5149 Muddy Creek Road concerning the theft of a handgun and a cell phone.

— At 3:37 a.m. Sunday, deputies were called to Winchester Apple Market, 570 Van Meter Road, concerning a suspicious person. Phillip Rogers was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and was served a warrant from Powell County.

— At 8 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to Mina Station Road concerning a horse standing in the road. The same horse had escaped at least four previous times.

Accidents

— At 12:25 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Mount Sterling Road in which Janet M. Rice of Mount Sterling said she lost control of her car which went up an embankment, struck a utility pole and overturned. She was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

— At 10:29 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Primrose Lane in which Phyllis Henderson of 4820 Todds Road got her foot stuck on the accelerator and drove through the garage door and struck a house. She was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— During the weekend, emergency personnel responded to 43 general medical calls, two cardiac cases, three respiratory cases, one diabetic case, one stroke, one seizure and one overdose.

— At 2:15 p.m. Friday, firefighters were called to Brown-Proctor Apartments, 108 S. Main St., concerning two people stuck in an elevator.

— At 5:34 p.m Saturday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 120 Hampton Ave.

— At 2:19 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 960 Interstate Drive. It was a false alarm.

— At 5:49 p.m. Sunday, firefighters were called to 11 Calloway St. for a gas leak. The gas was shut off.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 9:37 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at 2500 Irvine Road.

— At 12:30 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at Mount Sterling and Sewell Shop roads.

— At 12:17 pm. Sunday, firefighters assisted with a report of a fall at 310 Rolling Hills Lane.

— At 8:18 p.m. Sunday, firefighter assisted EMS personnel with a call at 463 Mount Vernon Drive.

— At 11:18 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a chimney fire at 380 L&E Junction Road.

— At 11:23 p.m. Sunday, firefighters were called to Princeton Lane concerning a controlled burn.

Charged

— Benjamin Clay Harrison, 29, was charged Friday with second-degree burglary.

— Kimberly K. Owens, 26, was charged Saturday with violation of an EPO/DVO.

— Ashley Nicole Powell, 25, was charged Friday with receiving stolen property and fraudulent use of an ID card.

— Jamie Peyton Preston, 42, was charged Sunday with fourth-degree assault.

— Darrin Ray Tays, 36, was charged Saturday with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

— At 10:02 a.m. Friday, officers were called to 951 Bypass Road after a vehicle was damaged by a buggy.

— At 2:31 p.m. Friday, officers took a report concerning a theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.

— At 3:19 p.m. Friday, officers took a report concerning a theft.

— At 3:33 p.m. Friday, officers were called to 69 Melbourne St. concerning a theft of a television and cable box.

— At 10:18 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to 1202 Westwood Drive concerning a property damage complaint.

— At 5:09 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to Vine and Broadway streets concerning a fight in progress.

— At 5:38 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to Meadow Street concerning a person not returning the caller’s vehicle.

— At 3:33 a.m. Sunday officers were called to 850 Bypass Road concerning an assault. Jamie Preston was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault.

— At 3:59 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 802 Bypass Road concerning juveniles throwing rocks at businesses.

— At 7:23 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 200 Hubbard Road concerning a theft of medication.

— At 7:32 p.m. Sunday, officers took a report concerning a person making threats against the caller.

— At 9:19 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to Walmart, 1859 Bypass Road, concerning a theft.
