Clerk’s office closed for Memorial Day
Clark County Clerk Michelle Turner’s office will be closed Saturday and Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, May 31.
Community open house scheduled at Holly Rood
There will be a community open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at Holly Rood, 28 Beckner St. Everyone is welcome.
American Legion to meet
Post 25 of the American Legion will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the VFW Club at 116 Sterling St. All veterans are welcome. New members should bring a copy of their DD214.
Clark Ag Development Council meeting
The Clark County Ag Development Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Clark County Extension Service, 1400 Fortune Drive.
City budget meeting Thursday
The Winchester Board of Commissioners will meet at 8:30 a.m. Thursday for the second budget work session in the City Commission chambers at City Hall.
Bluegrass Heritage Museum trolley tours scheduled
The Bluegrass Heritage Museum Trolley Tours for 2017 will continue May 20 with a visit to First Baptist Church on Highland Street and Broadway Christian Church to learn about history and preservation efforts.
Reservations are required by calling the Bluegrass Heritage Museum at 745-1358 between noon and 4 p.m. The tour is $10. The bus will leave the museum at 5:30 p.m. Arrive early to pay for your tour and board the bus.
