Running for the ‘paws’: Hundreds participate in annual 5K to benefit animal shelter

Crowds braved the threat of foul weather Sunday afternoon to support the Clark County Animal Shelter at the fifth-annual Run for Paws at Bluegrass Community and Technical College. The run, put together by Winchester-Clark County Parks and Rec, is the largest fundraiser for the shelter of the year.

Frank Kraft took first prize overall at the race, finishing with a time of 21:37. The full list of winners by age group includes:
