Charlie C. Turley

On May 23, 2017 Charlie, after a long health battle, went home to be with the Lord.

He was a lifelong resident of Clark County and a member of Landmark Baptist Church. He retired from the Clark County Road Department after 25 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ida Turley and four daughters, Brenda Shields, Joyce Eades (Jimmie), Patricia McCuddy (Roger) all of Winchester and Barbara Messer (Shannon) of Lexington and four grandsons, Randy Proctor, Jason Eades, James Eades and Kelly McCuddy (Sherry) and two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Trinity McCuddy and several cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roger Davis and Anna Cornelia Turley and one grandson, Travis McCuddy.

Charlie enjoyed fishing, puzzle books, stock car racing and loved watching UK Basketball and the Cincinnati Reds.

Services will be at 1:00PM on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Scobee Funeral Home by Bro. Jimmy Muncie.

Visitation will be at 11:00AM until the time of service.

Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roger McCuddy, Jimmie Eades, Shannon Messer, Leslie Turley, retired employees of the Clark County Road Department and the deacons and trustees of Landmark Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Landmark Baptist Church, 1223 Ironworks Road, Winchester, KY. 40391.
