Clerk’s office closed for Memorial Day 

Clark County Clerk Michelle Turner’s office will be closed Saturday and Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, May 31.

Community open house scheduled at Holly Rood

There will be a community open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at Holly Rood, 28 Beckner St. Everyone is welcome.

Class of 1967 reunion

The George Rogers Clark High School Class of 1967 is having its 50th class reunion Oct.13-15. Friday will be a day at Keeneland, Saturday will be an event at Harkness Vineyards/Peach House and Sunday will be a brunch at the Winchester Country Club. American Legion to meet 

Post 25 of the American Legion will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the VFW Club at 116 Sterling St. All veterans are welcome. New members should bring a copy of their DD214.

Clark Ag Development Council meeting

The Clark County Ag Development Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. today at the Clark County Extension Service, 1400 Fortune Drive.

City budget meeting Thursday

The Winchester Board of Commissioners will meet at 8:30 a.m. today  for the second budget work session in the City Commission chambers at City Hall.

Museum trolley tours scheduled

The Bluegrass Heritage Museum Trolley Tours for 2017 will continue May 20 with a visit to First Baptist Church on Highland Street and Broadway Christian Church to learn about history and preservation efforts.

Reservations are required by calling the Bluegrass Heritage Museum at 745-1358 between noon and 4 p.m. The tour is $10. The bus will leave the museum at 5:30 p.m. Arrive early to pay for your tour and board the bus.

Applications accepted for CAIP 

Applications are now available for Clark County County Agriculture Investment Program sign-ups through May 30. Applications for money for farm improvements can be picked up from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Clark County Conservation District Office, 667 Tech Drive. Flag retirement ceremony is Saturday

  • The Central Kentucky Coon Hunters Association will have its annual flag retirement and veteran appreciation ceremony at 6 p.m. Saturday at the club’s property at 3601 Pine Ridge Road. A meal will be at 6 p.m. followed by the flag retirement ceremony at 7 p.m. For more information, call 771-0866. It is open to the public.
