Eastside Women’s Circle having yard sale
Eastside Baptist Church Women’s Circle will have a yard sale June 2-3 from 9 a.m. until shoppers are through.
St. James CME marking 100 years
Greater St. James CME church, 40 W. Washington St., will celebrate its 100th anniversary Sunday. The guest speakers will be Louisville-Lexington District presiding elder the Rev. Vincent Farris in the morning service and second district presiding prelate Bishop Marvin F. Thomas at 3 p.m. Dinner will follow.
Memorial Day services at Salem Church at Pinegrove
On this Memorial Day weekend, as we recall those whose sacrifice has guaranteed our national freedom, Salem Church at Pinegrove, 312 Combs Ferry Road, Winchester, will remember the one whose sacrifice has purchased our freedom from sin. Join us for worship at 11 a.m.
First Presbyterian Sunday services
First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will have worship services at 10:30 a.m. Worship is traditional and lively, sharing God’s word through song, prayer and preaching. The message will be, “What now, world? and What’s next with Jesus?” Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the spirit. All are welcome. Pastor is the Rev. Celebrate Recovery meetings on Tuesdays
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the eight beatitudes, the 12 steps and their biblical comparisons. This program is for any hurt, hang-up or habit. There is childcare available for ages newborn to 4 years and Celebration Place, a pre-covery program for ages 5 to 12. The meetings are every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive.
