Joan Crawford Mayze, 85, of Winchester, widow of James K. Mayze, passed away Wednesday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born in Clark County on April 10, 1932, to the late Jerry and Lola Spencer Carpenter. She is survived by step-son, James David Mayze, sister, Gloria Gray and special niece, Myra Smith all of Winchester, in addition to other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry K. Mayze. Services will be private with burial in the Clarmont Memorial Gardens. In care of arrangements is the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S.
