—More than 50 years after she first sat behind the wheel of an automobile as a young girl in Germany, Sylvia Green received her driver’s license in Clark County.

—Jessica Johnson, daughter of Fred and Linda Johnson, and a student at Madisonville, North Hopkins High School, has been recognized for academic achievement as a United States National Honor Roll Award winner and will be included in the organization’s official yearbook.

—Beverly Reed, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Reed, has been named to the Morehead State University Dean’s List after achieving a 4.0 grade point average during her sophomore year. Ms. Reed also was awarded the Student Government Association Endowment Fund Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement and leadership.
