Eastside Women’s Circle having yard sale

Eastside Baptist Church Women’s Circle will have a yard sale today and Saturday from 9 a.m. until shoppers are through.

Heritage Baptist Church, 4369 Lexington Road, will have Starveyors vacation Bible School from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 5-9 for ages 5 through sixth grade.

Services at Salem Church at Pinegrove

Doves and parakeets — find out what they both have to do with this week’s celebration of Pentecost at Salem Church at Pinegrove, 312 Combs Ferry Road, Winchester. Worship at “The Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” begins at 11 a.m., and will include the celebration of communion. Plan to stay for the cookout following worship, and be sure to wear some red.

First Presbyterian Sunday services 

First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will have worship services at 10:30 a.m. Worship is traditional and lively, sharing God’s word through song, prayer and preaching. The message will be, “What now, world? and What’s next with Jesus?” Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the spirit. All are welcome. Pastor is the Rev. Celebrate Recovery meetings on Tuesdays

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the eight beatitudes, the 12 steps and their biblical comparisons. This program is for any hurt, hang-up or habit. There is childcare available for ages newborn to 4 years and Celebration Place, a pre-covery program for ages 5 to 12. The meetings are every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive.
