Doris Jean Reece, 88, wife of Ralph Turner Reece, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at her residence. She was born April 8, 1929 in Adair County, KY, to Emma Bennett Triplett and Leslie O. Triplett. Mrs. Reece was of the Christian faith. Survivors other than her husband of 68 years are one daughter, Patricia Ann (Dwight) Prather of Lexington, KY; one son, Michael W. (Diane) Reece of Winchester, KY; two grandsons, Michael Todd (Lisa) Reece and Brandon Turner (Amy) Reece, all of Winchester, KY; one great granddaughter and four great grandsons, Emma Elizabeth, Jackson, Brock, Cade, and Tate Reece; three sisters, Geneva Loy of Somerset, KY, Elouise (James) Riddle of Red Key, IN, Joyce Powell of Columbia, KY; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm EST Fri., June 16, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Interment will take place in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 12 pm EST Fri. until the service time at the funeral home.
