Allyson Ledford, the 20-year-old daughter of Eddy and Kathi Ledford of Winchester, will compete July 1 for the title of Miss Kentucky 2017. 

Allyson is the current Miss Bluegrass Area. 

She is majoring in theater at the University of Kentucky. Her ambition is to perform as an actress for film and stage. 

He platform issue is “Know Your ABCs: Always Be Confident.” 

She is sponsored by the Miss Bluegrass Are Scholarship Organization and received a $250 scholarship. 

Her talent presentation will be a vocal and clogging performance to “Proud Mary.” 

The 2017 Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant will be at the Singletary Center for the Arts on the campus of the University of Kentucky with preliminary competition June 29-30 and the final night of competition on July 1 (all performances starting at 7 p.m.)
