Strawberry supper at Trinity UMC 

Trinity United Methodist Church, 306 N. Main St., will host a strawberry supper from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for children 12 and younger.

Salem Church at Pinegrove, 312 Combs Ferry Road, Winchester, welcomes Pastor Don and Doris’ son, Joel, to its pulpit this week. He is director of youth and Christian education at First Presbyterian Church in Richmond. Worship begins at 11 a.m.

VBS at Church of Living God

Church of the Living God, 114 Franklin Ave., will host vacation Bibleschool from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly June 25-29. The theme is “Submerged: Finding the truth below the surface.”

First Presbyterian Sunday services 

First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive (right next to the Traveling Trail), will have Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m. This week’s message will be “Music and Life Lessons With Jesus: From a Mean Guitar to a New Instrument” based on Romans 6:1-4 and 11-13. Celebrate Recovery meetings on Tuesdays

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the eight beatitudes, the 12 steps and their biblical comparisons. There is childcare available for ages newborn to 4 years and Celebration Place, a pre-covery program for ages 5 to 12. The meetings are every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive. The Landing is a support program based on the eight beatitudes for teens struggling with issues. The meetings are from 7 to 8:45 p.m. Tuesdays at the Redwing Campus.
