CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Nicholas Ritchie, 47, of 215 Winn Ave. Apt. 174, was charged Friday with driving under the influence, third-degree possession of a controlled substance and no tail lamps.

— Jillian R. Slyker, 39, of 2887 Becknerville Road, was charged Sunday with reckless driving, driving under the influence, no operator’s license, no registration plate, no registration receipt and no insurance.

— Darrin Tays, 51, of 212 Yorktowne Drive, was charged Monday with third-degree assault, second-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest and was served a warrant.

Reports

— At 3:08 a.m. Monday, deputies were called to Fasmart, 5400 Revilo Road concerning a suspicious vehicle. The suspect, Darrin Tays, shoved a deputy inside the store and fled on foot. Following a foot pursuit and a struggle, Tays was arrested on multiple offenses.

— At 5:40 p.m. Saturday, deputies were called to 2584 Irvine Road after someone broke into a storage shed and took property.

— At 5:51 p.m. Friday, deputies were called to 5410 Irvine Road after someone broke into a residence and took several items.

— At 11:32 a.m. Sunday, deputies were called to Rockwell Road concerning an assault.

— At 2:40 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to 1280 Therese Drive after a lock was damaged on a storage unit.

— At 1:25 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to 126 Eastridge Drive concerning a domestic disturbance.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— During the weekend, emergency personnel responded to 40 general medical calls, two cardiac cases, five respiratory cases, one diabetic case, two strokes, three seizures and two overdoses.

— At 5:47 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a mulch fire at 1919 Rolling Hills Lane.

— At 6:20 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a Dumpster fire at 250 Oxford Drive.

— At 9:41 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a grass fire at Concord and Dorset lanes.

— At 12:38 a.m. Monday, EMS personnel responded with Clark County firefighters for a structure fire at 217 Cook Ave.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 12:02 a.m. Saturday, firefighters were called to 6820 Paris Road for an investigation.

— At 12:23 a.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a structure fire at 217 Cook Ave. Fire officials said one of the residents returned home, saw fire and smelled smoke, and got out of the house. The fire destroyed an addition and spread into the attic and two rooms of the house. No injuries were reported. Firefighters were on the scene for about three and a half hours. The house is owned by Wayne Harrison.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— William Andrew Kaeppner, 46, was charged Friday with possession of open container of alcohol in motor vehicle, reckless driving and driving under the influence.

— Earl Wayne McVey, 36, was charged Saturday with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and was served a warrant.

— Richard Lee Stamper, 39, was charged Friday with fourth-degree assault.

— Braxton James Stump, 29, was charged Saturday with second-degree wanton endangerment.

— David A. Taulbee, 32, was charged Sunday with first-degree wanton endangerment, driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree possession of a controlled substance.

— Timothy W. Woosley, 37, was charged Sunday with public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (two counts).

— At 6:34 a.m. Friday, officers were called to 1434 W. Lexington Ave. after someone threw a rock through a store’s front window.

— At 3:33 p.m. Friday, officers were called to Speedway, 39 S. Maple St., concerning an assault at 223 Buffalo Trace.

— At 5:44 p.m. Friday, officers were called to 238 Jackson St. for a 911 hangup call. Richard Lee Stamper was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault.

— At 7:20 p.m. Friday, officers were called to 250 Oxford Drive for a harassing communications report.

— At 8:05 p.m. Friday, officers were called to 101 Atrium Place concerning an assault.

— At 10:06 p.m. Friday, officers were called to 29 Oliver St. after someone broke into a residence.

— At 1:55 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to 201 N. Main St. concerning an assault.

— At 3:55 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to 250 Oxford Drive for a domestic disturbance.

— At 6:31 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to 220 Oxford Drive concerning a theft.

— At 8:38 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to Park Avenue concerning an unattended young child. Braxton Stump was charged with second-degree wanton endangerment.

— At 10:44 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to 208 W. Lexington Ave. concerning a stolen ladder.

— At 3:36 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 323 W. Washington St. concerning a stolen lawn mower and weed trimmer.

— At 4:22 p.m. Saturday, officers took a report concerning a theft.

— At 7:20 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 1104 Westwood Drive concerning a vandalism complaint.

— At 8:59 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 107 Linden Ave. after someone broke into a residence.

— At 10:25 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 1520 W. Lexington Ave. concerning a person causing problems.

— At 10:36 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 27 E. Washington St. for a domestic disturbance.

— At 11:42 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 218 Pendleton St. concerning a suspicious person. Earl Wayne McVey was arrested and charged with multiple offenses.

— At 1:01 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to Hickman and Lincoln streets for an assault.

— At 1:55 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to 321 Essex Court concerning a domestic disturbance.

— At 9:07 a.m. Sunday, officers took a report concerning a person making threatening comments.

— At 11:37 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to 330 Canewood Drive concerning a known person due to arrive who is under the influence of drugs. Timothy Woosley was arrested on multiple offenses.

— At 12:58 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 63 Clay St. concerning unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

— At 3:58 p.m. Sunday, officers took a report concerning a stolen leaf blower.

— At 5:26 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 1 Carol Road concerning possible drug activity.

— At 6:17 p.m. Sunday, officers took a report concerning a harassment complaint.

— At 7:12 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 36 Lincoln St. concerning a theft of mail.

Accidents

-— At 8:47 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to an injury accident at 1320 W. Lexington Ave. in which a vehicle driven by David Tailbee of 273 Greenway Drive reportedly swerved into traffic, struck an oncoming vehicle and then hit a tree. Tailbee was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries. The other driver, Donald Columbia and his passengers were not injured, nor was Tailbee’s passenger.
