Susan Prewitt Vance, 80, of Winchester, wife of Vernon Vance, passed away Wednesday at her home.

She was born August 9, 1936, to the late Johnson and Sylvia Henry Prewitt. She was a church treasurer for the Mt. Carmel Christian Church, member of Calvary Christian Church and she formerly worked for the tobacco market.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Mark Prewitt (Anita) Vance, daughter, Mary Lou (Kim) Warren, sister, Carolyn (Jim) King, grandchildren, Sarah Haydon Warren, Taylor (Justin) Sanders, Mark P. (Brandy) Vance II and Rob (Angela) Croft, also 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be Friday at 12pm at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St, with Rev. Gordon Smith presiding. Visitation will be from 10:30am until the hour of service on Friday.

Burial will be private in the Winchester Cemetery.
