— Winchester Kiwanis Club meeting, noon at Taste of China. The scheduled business meeting will be changed to allow Calvary Christian Church Pastor Mike McCormick to discuss the Upward youth program. Tammy Purcell will also discuss the impact of the B.U.G. (Bringing Up Grades) program at Conkwright Elementary School

— College for Technical Education cosmetology program anniversary celebration, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at CTE on the Bypass.

— Opening of 1965 time capsule, 5:30 p.m., Kentucky Bank, 24 W. Lexington Ave.

— Back-to-school READIFEST, 7 p.m. at Bluegrass Community and Technical College, 2020 Rolling Hills Lane.  Tablets raffled for students at each CCPS. Donations from area businesses and vendors. Inflatable and food.

— Moonlight Movie Nights showing of “LEGO Batman,” event starts at 7 p.m. movie will show at 9 p.m. at Bluegrass Community and Technical College, 2020 Rolling Hills Lane.

— Rock the Block summer concert series featuring Primecut, 7 to 9 p.m. on Main Street.

— McKinney Reunion for descendants of Wildy McKinney and family friends, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Jackson’s Chapel United Methodist Church on Highway 82 between Hargett and Clay City.
