The Fiscal Court Fund is partially funded with proceeds from the sale of the Rockwell  International building on Rockwell Road several years ago. Any funds awarded must be used for a public purpose.

McCord said the committee hoped to review all the applications and present the checks by October.

In 2016, the court awarded nearly $60,000 to 12 non-profit groups in the county and retained $41,000 for county projects, including its debt service on the natatorium at College Park Gym.

Applications will not be accepted by mail, fax or other means.
