CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Nicholas Richie, 47, of Winn Avenue, was charged Thursday with driving under the influence, improper equipment and rear license plate not illuminated.

Accidents

— At 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Paris Road in which Harley W. Maupin of Paris was traveling north when his vehicle hydroplaned and he lost control. The vehicle went off the road and into a ditch where it struck a tree. Maurine and three passengers were transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Wednesday, emergency personnel responded to 16 general medical calls, one cardiac case, one respiratory case, one stroke, one seizure and one overdose.

— At 1:27 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters were called to Main Street and Winn Avenue for an oil spill.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 2:11 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 4925 Combs Ferry Road.

— At 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to an injury accident near 3360 Paris Road.

— At 9:22 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a grass fire at 2750 Trapp Goff’s Corner Road.

— At 4:42 a.m. Thursday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 2094 Water Works Road.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Gary Lynn Goodman, 39, was charged Wednesday with public intoxication, first-degree possession of a controlled substance tampering with physical evidence (two counts), resisting arrest and third-degree assault.

— Rhonda May Hurley, 35, was charged Wednesday with public intoxication, third-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

— John Eugene Lukasavage, 33, was charged Wednesday with fourth-degree assault.

Reports

— At 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 6 Nunnelly Court concerning a theft of cash.

— At 3:55 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 220 Oxford Drive concerning a theft of a knife and a silver baseball bat.

— At 9:47 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 122 Abbeywood Court after tires were cut on a vehicle.

— At 12:47 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 116-1/2 E. Broadway St. after two men were in the caller’s home when she arrived. They fled on foot.

— At 5:46 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 216 Holiday Road concerning a theft of a tool box.

— At 6:29 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 145 Magnolia St. concerning a theft of cash.

— At 11:10 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 350 Edgemont Ave. after someone broke into the garage.

Accidents

— At 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to an injury accident on West Lexington Avenue in which Joseph Smallwood of Frenchburg said another vehicle stopped in front of him and he could not stop in time without hitting the other vehicle. Danny Clemons, of 120 Magnolia St., told police he was stopped to make a left turn. Clemons’ passenger Flora Clemons was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center after complaining of neck pain.

— At 6:43 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to an injury accident at 1830 Rolling Hills Lane in which Kelly J. Bailey of 236 Pendleton St. lost control of her vehicle in a curve at the end of a grade and crossed the center line, striking an oncoming vehicle, driven by Tiffany A. Harvey of Elizabethtown. Bailey’s vehicle then came to rest against a utility pole. Bailey was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center after her head hit the windshield in the collision.
