WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Tuesday and Wednesday, emergency personnel responded to 32 general medical calls, three cardiac cases, two respiratory cases, one diabetic case, three seizures and two overdoses.

— At 8:23 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 725 Terry Drive.

— At 5:25 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 537 Constitution Drive.

— At 5:43 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 140 Redwing Drive.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Byron D. Babb, 39, was charged Wednesday with third-degree burglary, first-degree fleeing or evading police, third-degree assault and resisting arrest.

Reports

— At 9:01 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 41 Franklin Ave. concerning the theft of a credit card.

— At 9:24 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 17 S. Main St. concerning a stolen checkbook, credit card and tip jar.

— At 4:18 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 31 E. Washington St., concerning a stolen wallet.

— At 5:26 p.m. Wednesday, officers took a report concerning an identity theft complaint.

— At 5:53 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to Walmart, 1859 Bypass Road, concerning a suspected shoplifter. Byron D. Babb was arrested and charged with multiple offenses.

— At 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 124 Strode Station Circle after a window was broken on a vehicle.

— At 7:33 p.m. Wednesday, officers took a report for a harassing communications complaint.
