Margaret Taylor Hohman, 86, loving wife of Earl L. Hohman, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Hospice at St Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.
She was born in Foster, Kentucky on May 31, 1931 to the late Roy L. and Rosalene Taylor. She spent her childhood in Augusta, Kentucky and was a graduate of Augusta High School and Mary Washington College. She was a beloved homemaker, educator, musician and pastor’s wife, faithful to her call.
She served as Assistant Principal at Franklin County High, Principal of Bondurant Middle School and taught graduate courses at Georgetown College. She loved the Kentucky Wildcats, Cincinnati Reds and going to Keeneland with family and friends anytime she could.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jeff (Debbie) Hohman of Winchester, KY and Nathan (Tempa) Hohman of Lexington, KY; three grandchildren, Taylor Hohman, Lauren Hohman, Madison (Matt) Knowe; her brother Art (Jackie) Taylor; nephews Greg (Colleen) Taylor, Tay (Laurie) Kelsch, Steve (Peggy) Kelsch and nieces Paula (Vic) King, Marla Kelsch, Angie (Jim) Carr, Sonya (Todd) Davis, Donna Dalzell and Cindy Craycraft.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Martha Ann (Paul) Kelsch and Maureene (Paul) Hopkins Collie.
A Life Well Lived Celebration will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Winchester, KY on Tuesday, August 15. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM and the celebration service at 11:00 AM. Lunch will be provided immediately after in the Fellowship Hall at the First United Methodist Church.
