Sekisui S-Lec America produces an interlayer film used for laminated glass most commonly used in automobile windscreens.

Among its main functions other than security and safety are solar heat reduction, sound reduction and the capability to produce head up sisplays.

Each facility in the Sekisui family shares the goal to have the least amount of impact on the environment as possible while also benefiting the communities in which they operate.

“Being stewards in environmental sustainability is a worldwide effort for our facilities,” said Randy Hardwick, assistant director of corporate social responsibility. “KYEXCEL offers unique opportunities for us to work together with other members to improve Kentucky’s environment while highlighting efforts of success here at our facility.”
