Stephen Ray Banks

Stephen Ray Banks, 53, of Lexington, husband of Connie Taulbee Banks, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at his residence with his loving family by his side.

Stephen was born on December 23, 1963 in Clark County to the late Glenn Banks and Virginia Mae Harris Banks. He was employed with Toyota as a Quality Engineering Associate. He held a B.A. religion/business degree from Georgetown College, Masters of Divinity from Lexington Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Divinity from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. Stephen also attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville.

In addition to his wife Connie of 31 years, and his mother Virginia, survivors include one son, Jeremy Banks of Winchester; two brothers, David Banks and his wife, Sue of Winchester, Paul Banks of Lexington; one sister, Joanna Banks Lovings and her husband, David of Winchester. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Stephen was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Banks.

Services to honor the life of Stephen Banks will be conducted 1:00PM, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Scobee Funeral Home by Martha Trent. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Williams, Matthew Williams, Jonathan Banks, Travis Billings, Ryan James and David Ziegler. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mark Woosley, Rebecca Williams, Suzann Banks, Jonica Davis, Emmett Grissam, Jr. and Tim Baker. Also serving as honorary pallbearers will be all of the youths he ministered to over the years.

Visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Rd., Lexington, KY. 40513. Additional visitation will be held from 11:30AM until 1:00PM on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Scobee Funeral Home.
