— DBPF local talent contest, 12:30 p.m. at College Park, 15 Wheeler Ave. Entry is $5 each. Prize money will be awarded. Pre-register from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

— Winchester Municipal Utilities closed for Labor Day. Waste pick-ups are rescheduled for Sept. 5 and Sept. 6 (see calendar entries for more information).

– NAMI Winchester-Clark County (National Alliance on Mental Illness) support/educational meeting, 7 p.m. at McCready Hall, Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 2410 Lexington Road. — Celebrate Recovery meeting, 7 p.m. at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive. The Landing meetings, a support group for ages 13 to 19, are 7 p.m. at the RAC, 17 S. Main St. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the Eight Beatitudes, the 12 Steps and their Biblical comparison.
