— Campbell Junior High School Youth Service Center Advisory Council meeting, 11 a.m. at the school’s Family Resource Center room.

— Celebrate Recovery meeting, 7 p.m. at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive. The Landing meetings, a support group for ages 13 to 19, are 7 p.m. at the RAC, 17 S. Main St. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the Eight Beatitudes, the 12 Steps and their Biblical comparison. — Kiwanis Club of Winchester meeting, noon at the 200 Maryland Ave. Program Chair Thom Schoolmaster has set up a tour of the CSEPP/EMS facility under the guidance of Gary Epperson.

— Baker Intermediate School SBDM Council meeting, 4 p.m. in the school’s library.

— Winchester First United Methodist Church is offering Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University starting Wednesday, Sept. 6 from 6 to 7:30 p..m. for nine weeks. The class will meet in the conference room at the church, 204 S. Main St. A kit is required to attend class and is about $100. Previous attendees are welcome to attend again at no charge. — Clark County Farm Bureau annual meeting, 6 p.m. at Clark County Farm Bureau office.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 8

— Kiwanis Club of Winchester East Ky Variety Show, 7 p.m. at George Rogers Clark High School auditorium. Performances by Winchester Christian Ballet, Ralph Curtis, Broadway Baptist Praisers with Lorenzo Taylor, Thoroughbred Gymnastics and The Hilltoppers from Beattyville. Tickets are available at the door for $12 for adults or $7 for children 12 and younger. Two-day tickets include performances Saturday, Sept. 9, for $20 for adults or $20 for children.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 9

— Kiwanis Club of Winchester East Ky Variety Show, 7 p.m. at George Rogers Clark High School auditorium. Performances by Gary and Larry Lawson Band, Beth Dean of Studio 88-Lex and students, Avis and Rochelle Thompson of Beattyville, the Ralph Curtis Band and the Steve Cope band. Tickets are available at the door for $12 for adults or $7 for children 12 and younger.

— Hot Roddin’ for the Homeless car and bike show featuring Iceman as DJ, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Car-Mart, 1020 Bypass Road. Registration is $15 by Aug. 31 or $20 the day of the show.
