State Fair robotics, country ham and livestock show results

Twenty-one youth cured hams and presented speeches at the Kentucky State Fair.

Results from the Country Ham exhibition are listed below by youth birth year.

— 2007 Non Smoked Ham: Heidi Castle, first overall, second place ham, blue ribbon

— 2006 Non-Smoked Ham: Kiera Dorsey, Blue Ribbon

— 2005 Non-Smoked: Charlie Castle, fifth overall, blue ribbon; Emma Dorsey, sixth overall, blue ribbon; Josiah Taylor, blue ribbon; Charlie Stevens, blue ribbon

— 2004 Non-Smoked: Emmie Comer, sixth place overall, blue ribbon; Sam Crump, seventh place overall, blue ribbon; Duncan Carmichael, red ribbon; Presley Reed, red ribbon

— 2003 Non-Smoked: Lainie Mitchell, blue ribbon; Anniston Reed, blue ribbon; Logan Dawson, blue ribbon

— 2002 Non-Smoked: Macy Crump, 12th place overall, blue ribbon; Jacob Fraley, blue ribbon; Clay Comer, blue ribbon; Don Wells, red ribbon

— 2001 Non-Smoked: Nathan Taylor, fifth overall, blue ribbon; Hunter Dawson, red ribbon; Chloe Wells, white ribbon

— 2000 Non-Smoked: Andrew Taylor, red ribbon

Five Clark County youth competed in the Kentucky State Fair Livestock Show; those results are as follows:

Sheep

— Jayde Cantrell: Market Classes: Reserve Champion Southdown Market Lamb, third place showmanship;  Breeding Classes: second place BFX Ewe, second, third and fourth place breeding classes, second place showmanship

— Charlie Castle: fifth and 13th place market lamb classes

— Heidi Castle: third, fifth, ninth and 11th place market lamb classes

— Jayde Cantrell, Charlie and Heidi Castle:  County Breeder (three lambs), second place; County Breeder (five lambs), second place

Beef

— Hannah Craig: first and third place Angus Heifers

— Eli Craig: first place Angus Heifer
