Services at First Presbyterian Church

Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The message will be “Let My People Go: God Starts A Good Fire.” Scriptures will come from Matthew 17:14-20 nd Exodus 3:1-6. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. All are welcome. The Rev. Ryan Bradney is pastor. Services at Salem Church at Pinegrove

On Sunday, the congregation of Salem Church at Pinegrove, “The Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” will worship at the pavilion at College Park. Pastor Don Stanley will continue his sermon series on “Great Hymns of the Faith” with a sermon-in-a-song: “This Is My Father’s World.” Dress casually, and join us for a covered-dish dinner after the service, which begins at 11 a.m.

Broadway Missionary celebrating 128 years

Broadway Missionary Baptist Church, 121 W. Broadway St., will celebrate its 128th church anniversary at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, with guest preacher the Rev. Reginald Davis of Macedonia Baptist Church in King, Ky. The Rev. Samuel Peoples is pastor of Broadway Missionary Baptist Church.

Celebrate Recovery meetings on Tuesdays

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the eight beatitudes, the 12 steps and their biblical comparisons. This program is for any hurt, hang-up or habit. There is childcare available for ages newborn to 4 years and Celebration Place, a pre-covery program for ages 5 to 12. The meetings are every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive. The Landing is a support program based on the eight beatitudes for teens struggling with issues such as family relationships, food issues, being bullied, low self-esteem, drugs, alcohol, cutting or behavior problems.
