This is the third year the groups have partnered in memory of David Borden for the Anytime Fitness 5K and the George Rogers Clark High School Cheerleaders 1.5-mile walk.

Walkers are welcome to complete the entire 5K course, but will not be timed. There is a $15 registration fee due by Sept. 24 for the walk.

For the 5K, awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three in each age group from 9 and under to 70 and older. A ribbon will be presented to all participants 10 and younger. Results and awards will be presented at First United Methodist after the race.

There is a $25 registration fee due by Sunday, Sept. 24 for the 5K.

Dri-Fit-style T-shirts will be guaranteed to participants registered by Sept. 24 and while supplies last on the day of the race.

Registration and information pick up will begin at 7:30 a.m. the day of the race.

Registration forms, along with a course map, are available at danielboonepioneerfestival.com or Anytime Fitness, 1934 Bypass Road.

Proceeds from the 5K benefit the Clark County Homeless Coalition and the walk benefits the cheerleaders, with a portion of the proceeds donated to a charity chosen by the cheerleaders.
