Rotary club hosts speakers

LEFT: Cheryl Spriggs, governor of Rotary District 6740 and a member of the Ashland Rotary Club, spoke to the Winchester group recently about setting goals for 2017-18 and creating service projects to positively impact the community. District 6740 is one of two in the state and includes 38 clubs in eastern and central Kentucky. Founded 110 years ago, Rotary is a civic organization built on the principle of “service above self.” The organization has 1.2 million members and focuses on sustainable projects ranging from promoting literacy to providing clean drinking water across the world.
