Clark 4-H’ers attend leadership conference

Eight delegates and one 4-H agent attended the 2017 Southern Regional Teen Leadership Conference Sept. 21-24 in Crossville, Tennessee. Ten states and 400 4-H’ers attended. Participants from Clark County were Clay Comer, Jacob Green, J.T. Settles, Lauren Cecil, Courtney Francis, Sydney Miller, 4-H Agent Shannon Farrell, Hallie Perry and Katelyn Francis. Miller served on the SRTLC planning committee and also led an Improv workshop. Cecil assisted Farrell in leading a “Runway Fashionista” workshop. Comer led a backpacking class and was assisted by Green and Settles. The 400 conference delegates donated $3,000 toward the event’s service project which involved purchasing and bagging items for 165 foster children.
