Services at First Presbyterian Church

Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays. Sunday at Salem Church at Pinegrove, 312 Combs Ferry Road, Pastor Don Stanley concludes his sermon series on “Great Hymns of the Faith” with a consideration of “Holy, Holy, Holy.” Worship at the “Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” begins at 11 a.m.

Trinity UMC homecoming Sunday

Trinity United Methodist Church, 306 Main St., will host homecoming services at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 15. The Noblemen Quartet will perform.

Celebrate Recovery meetings on Tuesdays

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the eight beatitudes, the 12 steps and their biblical comparisons. This program is for any hurt, hang-up or habit. There is childcare available for ages newborn to 4 years and Celebration Place, a pre-covery program for ages 5 to 12. The meetings are every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive. The Landing is a support program based on the eight beatitudes for teens struggling with issues such as family relationships, food issues, being bullied, low self-esteem, drugs, alcohol, cutting or behavior problems.
