Rosary at St. Agatha

A rosary will be prayed for the salvation of our nation at noon Saturday, Oct. 14 by the statue in front of St. Agatha Academy on South Main Street. All are welcome.

celebrating homecoming

Providence Baptist Church, 6543 Old Boonesboro Road, will host a homecoming weekend celebration 2 to 6 p.m. There will be food, fun, music, worship and a bouncy house. Saturday, Oct. 21. Homecoming services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, with the Fisher family singing.

Special singing Saturday

There will be a gospel singing at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Outreach Ministry Church, 8 Bloomfield Road. Special singers will be the Sons Family from Means, Kentucky.

The Bible presented

at Red Roof Inn

The Bible presented by Robert Bishop and Bill Denk, 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 19 and Oct. 26, at Red Roof Inn, 1100 Interstate Drive. Quiet, reverent, one-hour services upholding the life and teachings of Jesus. No collections taken.

Services at First Presbyterian

Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays. Junior high and high school youth groups meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Sundays. All are welcome. The Rev. Ryan Bradney is pastor. Contact the church office at 744-3722 for more information.

Services at Liberty Bible Church of God, 6615 Veterans Parkway, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sundays. There is a Bible study at 6 p.m. and youth services from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sundays as well. Pastor is Paul Hollingsworth 859-771-1009

There will be an indoor yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Providence Pentecostal, 7076 Old Boonesboro Road.

Craft bazaar and bake sale

There will be a “Country Kitchen: Craft Bazaar and Bake Sale” from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, and Saturday, Nov. 5, at Grace Free Will Baptist Church, 4281 Haley Road, Lexington. There will be a variety of woodcrafts, inspirational items, apple butter, jellies, candies, cakes, pies, quilts and Christmas goodies. Celebrate Recovery

meetings on Tuesdays

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the eight beatitudes, the 12 steps and their biblical comparisons. This program is for any hurt, hang-up or habit. There is childcare available for ages newborn to 4 years and Celebration Place, a pre-covery program for ages 5 to 12. The meetings are every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive. The Landing is a support program based on the eight beatitudes for teens struggling with issues such as family relationships, food issues, being bullied, low self-esteem, drugs, alcohol, cutting or behavior problems.
