The George Rogers Clark High School cheerleading team chooses a charity to donate money from the proceeds of The Walk With Friends which is held in conjunction with the Daniel Boone Pioneer Festival every year. This year the team made a generous donation to The James B. Allen, Jr. Generation Center. Pictured above with the team are Diana Simms, Generation Center director, and the clients Annie Semasko, Minda Allen, Willard Ritchie, Delores Jones and Brenda Pleasants. The Generation Center provides seniors age 60 and older with socialization, recreation, exercise programs and nutritious meals. The center also offers information and assistance, transportaion, advocacy, counseling, homemaker, outreach and legal assistance for clients.
