Still time to honor veterans

Help us recognize and remember our community’s heroes this Veterans Day.

As a way to say thank you to the brave men and women who have served our country, as well as all those who are currently on active duty, The Winchester Sun will once again publish a special Veterans Day section.

We want to showcase as many veterans as possible, recognizing them for their selflessness and sacrifice.

Don’t miss this opportunity to have your loved ones included in this section that will publish Friday, Nov. 10.

Submit photos to The Winchester Sun’s office at 20 Wall St., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The deadline is 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3. Photos may be picked up after they are published.

Please include the veteran’s name, branch of service and date the photo was taken, as well as a phone number if there are any questions.

The best part is there is no charge to submit the photo as The Sun believes this is an important opportunity to honor our community’s heroes.

Our country was built on the sacrifices of the men and women who answered the call of duty to defend our freedoms and the principles that we hold dear.

Clark Countians have always stood tall, courageously stepping forward when needed. Many paid a steep price, but did so out of patriotism and pride for our great nation.

This is one small way to recognize some of the men and women who have been — and will forever be — true heroes.
