Masquerade ball Saturday

The Beacon of Hope emergency shelter will host its annual masquerade ball fundraiser Saturday at Holly Rood Historical Home, 28 Beckner St.

The ball acts as the shelter’s annual large fundraising event, offering a Halloween styled night of fun featuring music, dancing, food, an open wine and beer bar, and an auction.

Doors open at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $15 per person or $25 for a couple and can be purchased at the Beacon, 850 Bypass Road, or online at http://ccbeaconofhope.wixsite.com/beacon-of-hope/donate. Tickets ordered online can be picked up at the door the night of the event.

The Beacon is a temporary shelter with the mission to provide safe shelter, food, and resources toward self sufficiency for homeless members of the local community and the region.
