— Autumn hike with scavenger hunt for young hikers on John Holder Trail at Lower Howard’s Creek Nature Preserve, 1945 Athens-Boonesboro Road. Hike will be canceled in event of inclement weather. Hike will be about three hours long and moderately strenuous. For more, call 744-4888.

Aspects of diabetes management to be discusses include carbohydrate counting, taking medications as directed, sick day strategies, blood glucose management, physical activity and personal goal setting.
