Winchester man charged in child porn investigation

Kentucky State Police arrested a Winchester man Thursday after he was found in possession of sexual images of minors.

Vincent Gray, 20, of 419 E. Washington St. trailer 5, was arrested at around 11 p.m. by the KSP Electronic Crime Branch. He is charged with one count of distribution and 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Each charge is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison.

During an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation, an account was linked to Gray’s residence, according to a KSP press release. During the investigation, it was discovered someone in the residence was in possession of child exploitation files, according to the arrest citation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch discovered Gray shared images of child sexual exploitation online. The types or quantity of files have not yet been released by KSP. Gray admitted to having the content in his possession at one point and distributing child pornography online, the citation said.

After searching Gray’s home, police seized equipment used to share content, which was taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing, according to KSP.

Gray was lodged in the Clark County Detention Center.

Bond has been set at $10,000 cash. Gray is scheduled to be arraigned in Clark County District Court at 1 p.m. Monday.
